Mexia & The Blond at Dairy Queen

A fella not from Texas found himself driving through the town of Mexia for the first time one day. He stopped at a fast food place for lunch and after placing his order, he asked of the blond girl behind the counter, "Say, how do you pronounce the name of this place?"

The counter girl replied, very slowly, "Daaiirrryy Queeennn."

El Fenix in Dallas, Tx.

Lil Dude does love him some Tex-Mex. After enough hot sauce and jalapeno peppers, his hair stands up!

Yummy!

Red Garter in Williams, Arizona

Lil Dude Troll at the Red Garter Bed & Bakery
In Williams, Arizona on Route 66 is the Red Garter Bed & Bakery. A former saloon and bordello built in 1897,  this 2-story Victorian building is right across the street from the Grand Canyon Railway train which takes visitors to and from the Grand Canyon every day.

At the front outside table, a great place to have a cup of coffee
and one of the excellent pastries offered

The interesting history of Williams, Arizona and the Red Garter Bed & Bakery can be read on our sister site  www.1dustytrack.com.

Troll Burger Fiend

Lil Dude does like his burgers. He is on a quest to find the best burger in America. He hasn't found the best yet (so far, the best are made on his grill at home), but the quest continues!
David's Burgers. But they were better when David's first opened.
For some reason, they aren't as good now as they used to be.

Whataburger - Lil Dude's favorite chain burger.
Always pretty darn good!

Barely OK, even by chain burger standards.

The burger at the Mid-Point Cafe on Route 66 was pretty good,
but no fries, just packaged potato chips accompanied the burger.

Red Robin's - Lil Dude has had some really good burgers
here and some not so good. When they are good, they
are good though!
