Aladdin the Camel at Mt. Vernon

George Washington was very fond of exotic animals. In 1787, he paid 18 shillings for a camel to spend the Christmas holidays at Mount Vernon to entertain the Washingtons and their guests. For Christmas, 2011, a camel named Aladdin is carrying on this tradition.
